Description
Polenco-a wheel thrown earthenware vessel by Richmond, Virginia ceramicist Andrew Wilder.
In this body of work called, Nocturne, Wilder harkens back to memories of the East Village in New York City in the 1980’s. City walls layered thick with peeling rock show posters, spray paint stenciling, art in the bleakest of landscapes are the inspirations for this collection.
This is a one of a kind object, only one available, made in the ancient way- by hand in a small artisanal pottery. This vessel is the result of multiple kiln firings and multiple glaze overlays. Not intended to hold food or water. Contact us for pricing.
